Harvest of the Arts in Appleton

Aug 29, 2014

Appleton — The annual Harvest of the Arts will be held at Sunday afternoon, Sept. 7, at the Union Meeting House on Sennebec Road, rain or shine. Those wish to participate or volunteer are encouraged to call Jan Janville at 785-4188.

At 2 p.m., Appleton musicians and writers will share their work inside the Meeting House. Local visual artists will display their work outside, weather permitting. After the indoor program concludes, everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments and view the artwork outside. The annual event is free.

The mission of the Appleton Historical Society since its organization in 1970 has been the preservation of the Meeting House and the collection of historical facts and artifacts. A dedicated room in the town’s Mildred Stevens Williams Memorial Library offers a safe environment for the society’s materials and a comfortable site for research.
