Hardy to discuss early Midcoast roads

May 09, 2017

Hope — Kerry Hardy discuss his extensive and continuing study of early roads in the Midcoast at the May meeting of the Hope Historical Society.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at the Hope Historical Society's house at 479 Camden Road, located next to the Hope Corner Fire Station on Route 105.

Understanding of how people were able to move about in this area beginning in its heavily forested days and the early years of settlement is essential to the understanding of the history of the Midcoast, and Hardy presents very interesting insights on this topic.

The public is welcome, and there will be time to talk with Hardy following the meeting over light refreshments.
