Handmade card sale to benefit Haitian hospital

The card sale this year during Christmas By The Sea will be held at Zoot Coffee, 31 Elm St. in Camden. Hundreds of handmade originals and reproduced sets will be on sale, along with the opportunity to make your own.

Camden — Handmade cards to support the new Mirebalais hospital in Haiti will be on sale during Christmas by the Sea, Friday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 2 at Zoot Coffee, 31 Elm St. in Camden.

Noteworthy is a group of local women who make and sell handmade cards to benefit the work of Partners In Health who have been bringing dramatically improved health care systems to Haiti and 11 other countries. Mirebalais Teaching Hospital in central Haiti opened this month in response to the devastating earthquake which destroyed much of the health and social systems infrastructure.

Zoot will be open until 9 p.m. Nov. 30 and regular hours Dec. 1 and 2.
