Halloween 'Spooktacular' to benefit Georges River Land Trust
Cushing — Is your inner goblin looking for a way to get out? Join Georges River Land Trust for a Halloween “Spooktacular” event on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m.
Guests will be treated to dinner, dancing, ghost stories in the moonlight, tricks, and treats. Tickets to the event benefit the Georges River Land Trust and are $40 for land trust members and $45 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased in advance either online at grlt.org/revelryevents.html or by calling 594-5166.
The party will be hosted by Bob and Karin Weisert at their home on the shore of the Georges River in Cushing. Views before dark include a property conserved by the land trust where herons roost, and views after dark are only for the strong of heart. A secret tour will give guests that special Halloween experience. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded. Flashlights are a good idea.
Georges River Land Trust is committed to encouraging citizens to discover the river and care for the land throughout the 14 communities in the St. George River watershed. This event is part of Revelry for the River, a celebration of 25 years of conservation.
