Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County announces new Executive Director

Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County welcomes Meg Klingelhofer as the new Executive Director beginning September 20, 2016. Meg has spent the past eight years as Community Education Director with New Hope for Women, serving as part of the agency management team, supervising outreach and education services of the agency, and collaborating on fundraising initiatives. For the past 30 years Meg has also been a builder specializing in antique house restoration and historically inspired new construction. She was a founder of Antique House Restoration and Construction, and was an A-licensed builder in Virginia prior to moving back to Maine in 2008. Meg was also a licensed Realtor focusing on land preservation and historic properties. Early in her career she worked in a homeless shelter for pregnant and parenting adolescents in the Boston area. "Working for Habitat for Humanity has always been on my bucket list," she notes, "and Waldo County has a special place in my heart. I am delighted to be able to join such an innovative, knowledgeable, and dedicated team of volunteers who have accomplished so much with Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County."
