Guide to Camden parks now available
Camden — The Camden Parks and Recreation Committee has produced a colorful free guide to the many parks and scenic overlooks within the town of Camden.
“Many of us are familiar with Harbor Park and the Snow Bowl, but the town has many other special parks and public places for everyone to enjoy,” said Ed Libby, who coordinated the map project for the Parks and Recreation Committee, in a news release. “This guide should be very useful for residents and visitors alike.”
The colorful, foldout Guide to Camden Parks includes photos and a brief description of more than two dozen locations, starting with the Village Green and ending with Ragged Mountain Recreation Area. It includes all town-owned parks, Camden Hills State Park, Merryspring Nature Center, and properties of the Coastal Mountains Land Trust. The guide also features a map showing where each park is located and symbols showing what activities and features are available at each site.
Copies of the new Camden Parks Guide are available at the town office, Chamber of Commerce building, and Snow Bowl. They also will be available at the Camden Public Safety Building on Election Day.
