Governor LePage and DECD Commissioner George Gervais to speak at Chamber Breakfast
Governor Paul LePage and Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, George Gervais will speak at the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Business Breakfast on Tuesday, December 4. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 am at the Samoset Resort. Both chamber members and the general public are invited to attend.
With elections over and a new legislative session about to begin, the Governor will discuss his administration’s goals for the coming year. Commissioner Gervais will address the importance of involvement from the business community during the legislative process.
The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is currently the fourth largest Chamber of Commerce in the state. Based in the Midcoast, PBRCC’s membership is largely made up of small businesses as well as a healthy mix of both year round and seasonal businesses. And being a regional chamber, a wide range of communities is represented within the membership: coming from vibrant city centers such as Rockland and Belfast to smaller downtown communities like Thomaston, Camden and Rockport. Members hale from small coastal villages such as Port Clyde, Tenants Harbor, and Owls Head as well as from more rural areas such as Lincolnville, Union, Hope, and Warren.
“We’re thrilled that the Governor and the Commissioner will be visiting the Midcoast again. It’s always a positive opportunity when we are able to showcase the diversity of our business community while providing a chance for our members to connect more directly with the folks in Augusta,” said Staci Coomer, Executive Director of the Chamber.
Chamber Business Breakfasts are sponsored by Allen Insurance and Financial and Dream Local Digital. Advance registration is requested by contacting Robin McIntosh at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cost of the breakfasts are $18.00 for members and $25.00 for nonmembers.
