Good Tern Co-Op to host Customer Appreciation Day
Rockland — The staff and board of directors of the Good Tern Co-op invite the community to celebrate Member Appreciation Day on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Member/owners will be showered with gratitude for their support of the co-op's 32 years of providing healthy natural foods, supplements, bulk and household items to the greater Rockland community. The Good Tern Co-op is a value-based business which fosters service to community, ownership and economic advantage, with a focus on the environmental and social impact of people's decisions.
A taste of the celebration includes: A visit from Oyster River Wine Growers. They will showcase the new service: Winter produce delivery door-to-door via horse-drawn carriage. A revisit of the Community Art Installation: ‘The Shirt Project.’ Local farms and producers will also be on-hand throughout the day. Events for children include face painting by Kari and a performance by fire juggler Daniel from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Member/owners receive an additional 10 percent discount that day, up to 30 percent.
The Good Tern’s manager, Kevin Gadsby and members of the co-op’s board of directors will be on-hand to answer questions and share thoughts and information about the possibility of expansion, which has been a topic of conversation since the annual meeting last May. A survey is expected to bring lots of feedback from member/owners.
