Golf tournament benefits Breast Cancer Support FundPrizes abound for players
ROCKPORT — Fuller Chevrolet-GMC is the Hole-In-One Sponsor for the Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic Golf Tournament, to be held Aug. 17 at Rockland Golf Club. Golfers will have the chance to win a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox crossover-SUV by scoring a hole-in-one on the 10th hole. Fuller Chevrolet-GMC will provide additional opportunities for players to win prizes for a hole-in-one on par-3 holes. There will also be a raffle for the chance to putt for a $5,000 cash prize.

The 18-hole golf scramble begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17. The $100 player registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, a gift bag and a lunch reception catered by Sandbagger’s Café. During the luncheon, a silent auction and raffle will take place. Auction items include sporting event tickets, fine dining, rounds of golf, themed gift baskets and original art. Chair massages will be offered by donation throughout the morning.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Midcoast Breast Cancer Support Fund established in 2011 by members of the Rockland Women’s Golf Association in partnership with the Pen Bay Healthcare Foundation.
