On January 13, at the Rockland Congregational Church, 5 members of Girl Scout Troop 2117 received their Bronze Awards, the highest award that can be earned by a Junior Girl Scout. The girls earning the award were Amanda Frost, Alyssa Leonard, Cera Aex, Erin Corcoran and Grace Young.
As part of their award project the girls worked hard to organize Secret Garden Day at the Rockland Public Library, on June 15, 2013. Their goal was to encourage children to take advantage of the local library. After the event they put together a book about their experiences working towards the award. They will be presenting the finished book to Jean Young at the Rockland Public Library this Saturday, January 18.

Congratulations Troop 2117!  Great job, hope you all stick with Girl Scouts and bridge up to Cadettes.  Nice leadership Janet!
