Gibbs Library issues a call to gardeners
WASHINGTON — Planning for the 2013 Gibbs Library Plant Sale is under way and gardeners are being asked to help.
The Gibbs Library Dig It Team wants to work now with gardeners who will donate herbs and perennials, and/or propagate seedlings next year. The team will not be digging this year, just looking.
"We want to view the plants that will be donated next year, photograph them and compile data on color and size," said Amy Micklich, plant sale co-chairman. Having details now will ensure the plant sale next year has a wide variety of plants.
"With the information gathered now, we can also be better prepared to provide growing information to our patrons," she said.
If interested in booking the Dig It Team for spring 2013 dates or “fostering” seedlings, contact Micklich at 701-1147 or firstname.lastname@example.org or co-Chairman Peg Hobbs at 845-2900.
