Washington — Registration is under way for the Gibbs Library summer reading program.

This program is open to any elementary school child who wishes to participate. Summer residents and children from the greater Washington community are welcome to participate.

The more books that the participating children read, the more chances they get to win a bike. If they already own a bike they can get a chance to win “tricked out” bike accessories. When any of the children reach the halfway mark in the reading program, they get a free ice cream cone from Sweet Seasons Farm and Café.

The bike drawing will take place during the end of summer party in August. Every child who attends the party will win a prize and six lucky children will win bikes.

For more information, call Gibbs Library 845-2663.
