Geoff Kaufman is most widely known for his music of the sea, from singing in 1976 for Op Sail '76 in New York City with a quartet named STOUT, to 27 years at Mystic Seaport as a chanteyman, Foreman of Interpretive Music Programs, Director of the annual Sea Music Festival and member of the quartet Forebitter. but Geoff also sings an environmental repertoire from his days with the Sloop Clearwater on the Hudson River, songs of the spirit through his involvement with the Unitarian Church, traditional songs from his native Catskill Mountians and more.
