Free art workshop takes on autumn
Rockland — Catinka Knoth will teach drawing scenes of autumn, with a focus on drawing in color, Mondays in October at 11 a.m. in the Friends Community Room of Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St. There will be no class Oct. 8, Columbus Day, as the library will be closed.
Knoth offers the workshops free and open to the general public, materials supplied; the series is hosted by Friends of Rockland Public Library. Led by Knoth, participants will work with a different subject each week: Oct. 1, apples and apple trees; Oct. 15, autumn leaves; Oct. 22, fall scenes; and Oct. 29, Halloween pumpkins.
Knoth paints watercolors of Maine and whimsical animal scenes, which she offers as cards and prints. She also teaches a free weekly children's drawing class at Rockland Public Library, sponsored by Wendy and Keith Wellin. For more information about her work, visit catinkacards.com.
