“The Green Church II” is a watercolor by St. George artist and author Kathleen Fox.

Martinsville — Local landscapes and seascapes will be the theme of Kathleen Fox’s annual art show and sale at the Martinsville Ocean View Grange, Route 131, between Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde. The show will open 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, the day ending with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception. Hours Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23 and 24, will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fox has created a calendar of Maine fishing and lobster boats every year since 2007; it is sold throughout Maine. Some of the original paintings from the calendars will be on display. She also is currently showing at Gallery By The Sea in Port Clyde.

Fox is the author of three award-winning books, which will be available during the show: “Beowulf of Maine,” a children’s book starring Fox’s Newfoundland dog; “THE GOOD — How I Found Peace in a Chaotic World”; and “I’m Gonna Tell,” a children’s book written and illustrated by Fox and her class on sexual abuse and trauma at the University of Maine’s Rockland College. The 2015 calendars also will be for sale.

Fox lives and works in Tenants Harbor and the surrounding community. She can be reached at her gallery on Turkey Cove at 372-8863 or at her gallery in Port Clyde at 975-3883. Fox’s website is mainewatercolors.biz.
