Four seek nod for two Thomaston Select Board seats
Thomaston — Ryan Jones, Alex Nimon and incumbents Peter Lammert and Lee-Ann Upham have taken out nomination papers for two seats on the Select Board.
Nimon works as a yard crew member at Lyman-Morse. A previous version of this story incorrectly stated Nimon's place of work, based on outdated information.
Jones owns Thomaston Cafe in downtown Thomaston and Farmer Jones Organic farm on Beechwood Street.
As of April 12, only Nimon had returned papers to the Town Office.
Also open is a seat on the three-member Board of Assessors. Only Fred Wigglesworth, the incumbent, has taken out nomination papers for that position, and he has returned them with the requisite signatures.
No one has yet begun the nomination process for an open seat on the Regional School Unit 13 School Board.
All of the seats have three-year terms.
Those interested in running can get nomination papers from the Town Office, then must gather at least 25 and no more than 100 signatures from registered Thomaston voters. Papers are due to the town clerk by Town Office closing May 1.
Thomaston voters will elect town officers June 13 ahead of the annual Town Meeting June 14.
