Food Network celebrity chefs host event to benefit Make-A-Wish Maine
Rockland — On Wednesday, Sept. 3, the pier at Rockland’s public landing will smell like pure heaven — for foodies, that is.
At 6 p.m. on that day, Food Network Star Season 8 Finalist and executive chef Michele Ragussis will host the Wine and Dine event at her restaurant, The Pearl. Ragussis has invited three of her favorite Food Network celebrity chefs, Martie Duncan, Linkie Marais and Nikki Martin, to help prepare what is sure to be a meal fit for stars.
Event attendees will enjoy live music and complimentary wine and locally-brewed Allagash beer as the chefs host live cooking demonstrations. Best of all, attendees will enjoy tastings of each prepared course. The menu will be finalized just days before the event to make use of the freshest local ingredients.
Ragussis ensures, “We’ll have a lot of fun, enjoy some really good food with a refined flair, and help out a great cause all at the same time.”
All proceeds from the evening benefit Make-A-Wish Maine. “This is an exciting, fresh fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Maine. All money raised here stays here to help local children,” said Tom Peaco, executive director of Make-A-Wish Maine. “The need has never been greater, we’re seeing record referrals this year and events like the Wine and Dine at The Pearl are important in supporting our goal to help every eligible child in Maine.”
To attend the event, call 221-2306, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or click maine.wish.org to purchase tickets for $100 per person. Space is limited. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, or check accepted. Make-A-Wish is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and $50 per ticket is a tax deductible contribution.
