Rockland — Rock City Café, 316 Main St., has a lively weekend in store to start the month of June. On Friday, June 6, during the First Friday Art Walk, Rock City's Velvet Lounge series will welcome Will Brown and George Fowler. Saturday night, June 7, Hot Pink Flannel will take over for a dance party.

Brown and Fowler are two popular Midcoast folk musicians sure to delight listeners with tunes and songs from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Rock City’s lunch service extends till closing on music nights.

The Hot Pink Flannel Party Crew promises to take everyone down the rabbit hole for a Mad Hatter Tea Party Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. — follow Yvonne down the rabbit hole and celebrate everyone's unbirthday. DJ MJ from Portland will spin the tunes that should keep everyone dancing the night away. Attendees can dress as their fave “Alice in Wonderland” character or come as they are. There will be a $5 cover for the 21-and-older event.
