Rockland — Maine-based singer/songwriter Lisa Redfern will perform Saturday, June 7, at 11 a.m. Presented by the Coastal Children’s Museum, the 45-minute concert for the whole family will be held upstairs at the Sail, Power and Steam Museum. The museums are at Sharp’s Point South, 75 Mechanic St.

Redfern is an award-winning artist who blends her roots in folk, bluegrass, country, gospel, blues and swing to create something unmistakably her own. She has nine solo recordings to her credit so far; and she produces and performs in the local monthly songwriter series she created called Songwriters in the Round at Frontier Cafe in Brunswick.

Redfern’s 2010 lullaby CD, “Sing Me Goodnight,” won the National Parenting Publications Gold Award, as well a Parents’ Choice Award Silver. Her newest CD, “A Living Prayer,” is an intimate, acoustic collection of hymns and other inspirational songs. For more information on her projects and to see videos, visit lisaredfern.com.

Tickets can be purchased at the museum office and at the door for $2, $1 for members. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Admission to the museum is separate. To reserve tickets or for more information, call the museum at 596-0300 or email info@coastalchildrensmuseum.org.
