FMC employees spruce up animal shelter
Thomaston — FMC donated the efforts of five employee volunteers to help spruce up the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County’s shelter facility in Thomaston Sept.19.
The FMC team, including Elise Kaserman, Adam Flanders, Ellen Reynolds, Neal Reed, and Kelly Fogg, spent the day cleaning cages, pressure washing the cat care facility, and completing vital exterior carpentry work.
“We have been sending employee volunteers to help the shelter for more than 7 years, and it truly has been a labor of love for us. We are all animal lovers, and we appreciate their efforts to care and find families for homeless pets," FMC Maintenance Manager Rod Mason said in a news release.
“We always look forward to the day when our friends from FMC come to help us at the shelter. They happily take care of whatever needs doing, and we love their support,” said PMHSKC Manager Theresa Gargan.
