Five Town Football scores big by building up area youth
Camden — Some may say that the one just experienced the ultimate when it comes to football… the Super Bowl. But one look at the drive, determination and passion of the youth, parents and coaches associated with Five Town Football wproves the real heart of football lives right here in the community.
The Five Town Football mission is to promote leadership, scholarship, teamwork, sportsmanship, and community through student participation in youth football in the Five Town area. In addition to the youth football program, Five Town Football supplies equipment, uniforms, coaching and transportation in support of the Camden Hills Regional High School Football Windjammers.
Even with their supporting role with Camden Hills, Five Town Football is a totally independent nonprofit group. They are not affiliated or financially supported by any of the area school districts and rely on the support of area businesses, civic organizations, private patrons and community donations to support the work they do with local youth.
To assist Five Town Football and their mission, Graffam Bros. Harborside Restaurant has arranged for Tuesday, Feb. 12 to be their Community Connections night. From 5 to 9 p.m., the Graffam family will donate half of whatever restaurant patrons spend on dinner to Five Town Football.
This will be the fourth of 10 scheduled fundraising dinners hosted by Harborside Restaurant benefiting local nonprofit organizations. Anyone wishing to support Five Town Football is invited to simply eat dinner at Harborside on that evening. Graffam Bros. Harborside Restaurant is located off the Camden Public Landing parking lot on the ground floor of the Grand Harbor Inn building. Representatives from Five Town Football will be on hand at the restaurant all evening to answer questions about their organization.
