Five candidates vie for two selectmen seats in South Thomaston
South Thomaston — Local registered voters will elect two selectmen at the March 26 annual town meeting
Dorothy Meriwether, a member of the town’s budget committee, is seeking the three-year seat being vacated by Jeffrey Northgraves, who is leaving after 10 years.
Four candidates are running for the two-year term to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Patrick “Mike” Florance.
Voters will choose from the four following candidates: Wayne Brown, Dianne Darling, David Eaton, and Sonja Sleeper.
The selectmen are planning to hold a candidates' night near the time of the election but have not set a date. The public will be able to hear statements from the candidates and ask questions.
