Final Draft writing workshop set
Camden — The Camden Public Library will host another free writing workshop with writing coach Lee Heffner this winter. The Final Draft workshop is a free six-week series will begin Tuesday, Feb. 5, and continue Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the second floor History Center.
Heffner is a writing coach, a published author and masters of fine arts candidate in creative writing. She acknowledged that coming to such a class can be a tough step, but encourages writers to push past that resistance. At the close of the six-week session, she promised, participants will have a completed story.
“Admit it. Somewhere on your hard drive, in your desk drawer, or in a journal there are abandoned story ideas. You’ve had many starts. You’ve also had many ideas that somehow have escaped being put to paper. You want to bring your stories to completion but somehow it doesn’t happen. Maybe you think you don’t have it in you to complete a story. Trust me, you do," she said.
To register, call the library at 236-3440; there is a maximum class size of 12.
