Film Fest at Camden Hills

May 29, 2014
This year’s CHRHS Film Festival includes a music video that ranges all around the Midcoast. Julian Abaldo, left, and Mark McCluskey appear in the video McCluskey directed to the song "Counting Stars" by One Republic.

Rockport — The eight annual CHRHS Film Festival will be held Friday, May 30, at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium of the school, off Route 90. Student films from Intro and Advanced Digital Filmmaking classes will be featured, along with work from the TV Studio classes.

This year's film festival contains an eclectic blend of films. With documentaries, theatrical pieces and music videos from the Camden Hills film students, the audience can expect to laugh, cry and even cringe a bit. Projects range from a "Surgery Prep" community service short for Pen Bay Healthcare; to a zombie film; to a music video shot throughout the Midcoast region and featuring the newly renovated Lincoln Street Center.

The annual festival is a showcase for some talented and hardworking students and offers an opportunity for the community to enjoy an entertaining evening. This year’s festival will be hosted by senior filmmakers Emily Grotz and Zachary Stern.

Admission is free. For more information, check out the event’s Facebook page.
