Fernands signs at Highlands Coffee House
Thomaston — Local author Lynne Fernands will sign her novel “Noble Hill” Saturday, Nov. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Highlands Coffee House, 189 Main St./Route 1.
In the 1920s, Jethro and Mary Preston and their family of six live on an idyllic farm called Noble Hill. A spirited group, they move through their lives with selfishly devised methods and total disregard of others.
Forceful and determined, Jethro is raising his six children to be winners and will accept nothing less, but he has different plans for each of them. The family members are united by blood, yet separated by their individual personalities that possess characteristics of selfishness and greed … except for middle child Nathan, who wants only to please his father while pursuing his dream of one day attaining the prize, stately Noble Hill. A battle is waged, testing the resolve of the stubborn Prestons and revealing the depth of true Yankee resolve.
