Feeling ‘The Force’ at Ten High Street
Camden — Ten High Street is exhibiting Amy Lowry's new work based on "The Force" by Dylan Thomas through July 29. Lowry’s oil and watercolor floral portraits depict a narrative arc of biological existence, inspired by the daylilies she grows in the garden outside her Camden art studio.
The artworks exhibited in “The Force” are the culmination of Lowry’s yearlong exploration of painting in watercolor. After studying under Thomaston-based master watercolorist Susan Van Campen, Lowry gained an intimate understanding of the medium’s subtle characteristics. These blooms have become a natural extension of her 20-year career as a practicing artist.
