Rockland — Fall cheering has returned for Oceanside High School students, who will get the opportunity to join the program and participate on the sideline during Mariner football games.

Oceanside ninth through 12th graders interested in becoming a football cheerleader for the 2012 season must attend one mandatory parent/cheerleader meeting.

The dates of those meetings are Monday, Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m. or Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Oceanside High School East gymnasium.

Reguar-season practices will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
