Everyman Rep gets Maine Community grant
Rockport — Everyman Repertory Theatre has received a $5,000 grant from the Theatre Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to help fund its 2013 season, the fourth time its has received one since the nonprofit troupe was founded in 2008.
“We’re incredibly lucky to have this fund in the state and we feel very lucky to be receiving this level of commitment from it. We promise to live up to expectations,” said Paul Hodgson, Everyman’s artistic director.
Everyman Rep’s 2013 season will start off early in the year, thanks to the MCF grant, with “The Eight: Reindeer Monologues” by Jeff Goode, an R-rated antidote to virtually any other Christmas show out there. The show will be presented Friday and Saturday, Jan. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Center for Maine Contemporary Art, 162 Russell Ave. Tickets will be available online at everymanrep.org and from the box office, 236-0173.
