Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District and Midcoast Code Enforcement Officers Association are co-sponsoring a Maine DEP certification course in Beginning and Advanced Erosion Control Practices at the Union Town Office on Tue, Feb 12, 2013 from 8am to 4:30 pm. Contractors must take this course to comply with the statutory requirement to have a certified contractor on all sites within 250 feet of a water body beginning January 1, 2013. Cost of the course is $45 ($55 after Feb 5) and includes morning refreshments, lunch, and a DEP erosion control manual.
