Erin Donovan is the creator of the I'm Gonna Kill Him blog, video series, and comedy show. She entertains the great people of Maine through a weekly humor column for The Bangor Daily News –you would just never know it to read the online comments. She is regularly featured around the internet on sites like Huffington Post, Baristanet, Mamapedia, Scary Mommy, and The Mouthy Housewives. Her blog was nominated by Nickelodeon for Best New Blog in 2010, and she was named by BlogHer as a 2012 Voice of the Year and won its People's Choice award in Humor. She is nominated for the same award in a different category this year. She is presently at work on a comedic memoir called Maui & Me: How One Dog Ruined My Marriage and all of My Underwear.
Before turning to a career in writing, Erin worked in media and public relations for Alloy Entertainment, a youth-focused media agency in New York City. She will tell you that this means she invented the show Gossip Girl, but really she was much more influential in the Pokemon mall tour across America.
She went on to have three children in two-and-a-half years and moved to the state of Maine where it took her the same amount of time to buy a real jacket.
Erin Donovan's 50 Shades of Cray* comedy show is an hour-and-a-half, multimedia production featuring the funniest of her work. Loaded with humor about the triumphs and tragedies of middle-aged life, Donovan's stories about leaving New York City, having too many children too fast, and learning how towalk and talk (certainly not hike and bike) in Maine will leave everyone laughing in agreement.
*Cray is a hip shortening of the word Crazy. We much try to sound more youthful when we no longer look it, people.
