Entrepreneurial series begins Sept. 10 in Camden
Camden — Growing a business can be a tricky process, whether it is a brand new start-up or an established operation.
The Hatchery, a new seminar series at the Camden Public Library starting in September, will help take some of the mystery out of this complex and occasionally perplexing process.
These classes will be held at Camden Public Library, starting Tuesday, Sept. 10 and presented every other week until Dec. 3, for a total of seven sessions. The classes will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
A cooperative effort of the library, the Midcoast Magnet, the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce and MaineStream Finance, The Hatchery series will be anchored by Ken Greenleaf, a microenterprise consultant from MaineStream Finance and will feature presentations by professionals in every aspect of running a business, as well as by entrepreneurs who whose businesses are part of the fabric of the Midcoast community.
The series is free and open to all, either for the whole course or for each individual session. The core theme of the classes is to help people write a business plan that includes all the information they will need to start their business with the highest likelihood of success.
