Tenants Harbor — Cold drafts, frozen pipes, and high fuel costs that plague homeowners this winter do not have to return next winter.

Free advice about practical options for increasing energy efficiency and decreasing problems will be offered by Kathleen Meil of Evergreen Home Performance and Hans Albee of ReVision Energy.

They will speak from both personal and professional experience. Meil's 1858 home was refitted for energy efficiency. In his home, Albee included solar panels among the renovations. His past hands-on experience includes work at Brooklin Boat Yard designing and installing navigation and communications systems. Along with his present work at ReVision Energy, he serves as assistant deputy chief in the Brooks volunteer fire department.

The workshop is Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. at the town office in Tenants Harbor. Hot beverages and refreshments provided. This 8th annual Winter Series is sponsored by the Friends of St. George and the St. George Conservation Commission.
