Employee Appreciation Day Feb. 12
Rockland — Volunteers of Rockland Main Street, Inc. will host the 4th annual Employee Appreciation Day Feb. 12 starting with an early morning breakfast celebration, sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank.
Employees from the downtown district are invited to drop by the Fog Bar & Cafe from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. for this free event. Various downtown eateries will collaborate to offer hot coffee, tea and breakfast foods.
Attendees will also receive reusable shopping bags filled with an assortment of goodies, coupons, menus, magazines, discounts, sampling gifts and special offers donated by downtown businesses and organizations.
This special day is meant to show appreciation for the individuals who work downtown welcoming visitors and residents. These people create and sustain the energy, excitement and viability of this salty, unique Midcoast city.

Beth rejoined Courier Publications' news staff in February 2013. She previously worked at The Courier-Gazette from 1981 to 1990.

Beth has a passion for photography, and a degree from the University of Maine at Augusta, in affiliation with the Maine Photographic Workshop in Rockport.
Aside from photography, Beth enjoys running and walks along the waterfront, as well as other outdoor activities. She has a daughter, Claire, who is 14.
