Electronic beats at The Speakeasy
Rockland — Experimental electronica duo Vistas and ambient/electronica artist Quantam will play an Independence Day show Friday, July 4, starting 9 p.m. at The Speakeasy, 2 Park Drive (beneath the Chowder House).
Vistas is the electronic audio collaboration of musicians Joshua Nagle and Owen Cartwright, who met at college and later began playing experimental electronic music. They are known for the wide variety of acoustic and electronic samples used in their arrangements, creating rich and vibrant combinations of rhythms and melody pulled from all musical genres.
Quantam is the latest project of musician Jason Dean of Northport, perhaps most familiar as past and present drummer for rock groups, jazz combos and genres in-between. For more information, call The Speakeasy at 596-6661, ext. 606.
