RSU 40 Adult Ed to offer one-night woodlot course Oct. 14

WALDOBORO -- RSU 40 Adult Education will offer a one-night workshop with Mort Moesswilde of the Maine Forest Service on making a plan to harvest timber from one's woodlot. The class meets from 6 to 8 p.m. at Medomak Valley High School; the fee is $14.

Driving Dynamics to be offered Oct. 15

ROCKLAND -- RSU 13 Adult Education will offer Driving Dynamics a five-hour, state of Maine-sponsored defensive driving course, at the McLain Building Oct. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways. The cost is $40 per participant, which includes a $5 registration fee. All course materials are provided. Students over the age of 65 pay $10. Pre-registration is required. Shopper's Showcase fundraiser set for Oct. 26

WALDOBORO -- Project Graduation holds its annual Shopper's Showcase fundraiser in the Medomak Valley High School cafeteria Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Featured will be merchandise from 31, Lularoe, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Scentsy, Jamberry, Younique, KEEP, Designer Inspired and more. Dinner, drinks & dessert items will be available for purchase, along with raffle tickets for items donated by vendors.
