Dailey named to dean's list

CANTON, N.Y. — Erica N. Dailey of Union has been selected for inclusion on the dean's list for academic achievement during the spring 2014 semester at St. Lawrence University. Dailey, a member of the Class of 2016 at St. Lawrence, is majoring in anthropology. Dailey graduated from Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro.

To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Locals named to Saint Anselm College dean's list

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Mark W. Cronin, interim dean of the College, announces the following students that were named to the dean's list for the spring 2014 semester at Saint Anselm College.

Haley Turner of Warren; Julia McClure of Waldoboro, Phoebe Ferraiolo of Owls Head and Kayla Hart of Rockport.

Locals named to UVM dean's list

BURLINGTON, VT. — The following students have been named to the dean's list at the University of Vermont: Cora Sloan of Appleton, Rayne Hanke-Ledwith of Rockport and Julienna Brooks of Union.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Chilton makes the spring 2014 dean's list

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. — SUNY New Paltz congratulates Madeline Chilton, a resident of Camden, for being named to the spring 2014 dean's list. Chilton's major is music.

Dean's list designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Surprise wins outstanding student achievement award

NEW LONDON, CONN. — Noelle Surprise, class of 2014 at Connecticut College, was awarded the Ruby Turner Morris Prize. Surprise was presented with the award at the annual Honors & Awards ceremony at Connecticut College May 5.

Surprise, a 2010.0 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School, is the daughter of Juliette Surprise of Camden and Sam Surprise of Portland.

At the ceremony, the awards were presented by President Katherine Bergeron and Carolyn C. Denard, dean of the college. Anthony Graesch, assistant professor of anthropology, gave the keynote address.

Dill named to Beloit College dean's list

BELOIT, WIS. — Donald Dill of Rockport was recently named to the spring 2014 dean's list at Beloit College. Dill is a junior.

Local resident member of Dickinson College's Class of 2014

CARLISLE, PA. — Lauren Jeschke, daughter of Thomas and Julie Jeschke of Hope, graduated cum laude from Dickinson College May 18 with a bachelor of science in environmental science. Other recognition included: dean's list. Jeschke is a graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School.
