Bottle drive

LINCOLNVILLE — The Lincolnville Central School eighth grade will be running a bottle drive in Lincolnville Saturday, Jan. 4, to raise funds for their class trip to Quebec City.

They are requesting that all residents of Lincolnville save their bottles for the drive. Volunteer drivers will drive around the town and pick up bottles at the curb. Bottles should be bagged and put out on the curb no later than 9 a.m. for pickup.

McCluskey inducted into honor society

PHILADELPHIA — Hope resident Lianne McCluskey, a senior communications major at La Salle University in Philadelphia, was recently inducted into the University’s Alpha Epsilon Honor Society, which recognizes high academic achievement with service. She is a member of the swim team, belongs to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and participated in the Project Appalachia Service Trip.

Vangel named Loomis Chaffee School honor roll

WINDSOR, CONN. — Melanie Vangel, a senior from Camden has been named to the honor roll for the fall term at The Loomis Chaffee School.

The Loomis Chaffee School is a college preparatory school for grades 9-12 that fosters critical thinking and a global perspective in talented students from around the state, the country and the world.
