Easter Week Services at The First Congregational Church of Camden
The First Congregational Church of Camden will begin its Easter week services with its sober yet hauntingly beautiful Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service at 7 p.m. on March 28th. Maundy Thursday commemorates The Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles.
An ecumenical Good Friday service will be observed at noon at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church of Camden.
The community is also invited to greet Easter morning at a sunrise service atop Ragged Mountain on March 31. The service will begin at 6:00 a.m. and will be led by the Rev. Kevin Pleas. Participants are urged to arrive at the Snow Bowl early as the chair lift to the summit takes about 20 minutes. The lift will begin running at about 5:15 a.m. Everyone is urged to dress warmly.
The traditional Easter morning service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on March 31 with Rev. Kevin Pleas officiating. A children’s Easter egg hunt will follow the service.
The church is located at 55 Elm Street in Camden and is handicapped accessible. For more information on Easter Week services please call 236-4821.
