Dynamic ferret duo available for adoption

Skeeter

Our pet picks of the week are Skeeter and Lucy, two of the sweetest ferrets you will ever meet. This terrific twosome is very affectionate and playful. They enjoy interaction and like to be held. They also love to give kisses. Although many people think ferrets are rodents, they are actually part of a family that includes weasels, minks and otters. Not to worry, the scent producing glands of ferrets are routinely removed (Skeeter and Lucy are de-scented and fixed), leaving only a slightly musky smell to these small mammals. Ferrets live an average of 8 to 10 years and can live upward of 12 years. Like cats, ferrets sleep a large part of the day, around 18 hours, but adapt to the schedule of the available attention of their owners upon which they thrive. As with all ferrets, Skeeter and Lucy require regular, supervised exercise outside of their cages. Inquisitive by nature, you need to ferret-proof your home to keep them safe. They can be quite mischievous and you'll be entertained by their amusing antics. Ferrets are very intelligent and can and should be trained to use a litter box. If you think you can make the time and commitment to the care of this dynamic ferret duo, stop by and meet them. You’ll be rewarded with loving, entertaining companions.
