Washington — An 8,000 Drums Ceremony will be held Sunday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gibbs Library, 40 Old Union Road. For more information, call 845-2663.

The drum circle will be a special celebration of the end of this Mayan baktun, or age, that lasted 5,125 years and the dawning of a new age and elevated consciousness. Connie Bellet and Phil White Hawk, with the Great Thunder Chicken Drum, will lead the joyful event. Everyone is invited to bring drums and rattles and join in.
