Driver sent to hospital after Warren crash
Warren — A Jefferson man involved in a roll-over crash in Warren was taken to the hospital Feb.18 for shoulder and chest pain, according to an email from Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison.
Lee Higgins, 70, was traveling north on Eastern Road in Warren when his 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck spun out of control and went off the right side of the road rolling over multiple times before coming to a rest on its wheels, according to the email.
He has just crossed the town line from Union.
The air bags did not deploy and Higgins was wearing his seat belt.
Higgins was able to remove himself from the vehicle, and complained of shoulder and chest pain. He was taken to Miles Memorial Hospital by Union Ambulance.
Union Fire also arrived on scene to assist with traffic control and Knox County Sheriff's Office Deputies Matt Elwell and Paul A. Simonetti responded to the crash.
