Camden — The driver of a Toyota Tacoma was charged with operating under the influence following a crash on Bay View Street Jan. 23, said Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne.

Denis Arey, 39, of Camden was located walking down the street shortly after the accident by Officers Daniel Brown and Edward Boylan, who were on regular patrol, Gagne said. The officers noted Arey seemed to be injured.

"They realized he was involved in an accident," Gagne said.

Arey then told the officers he was looking for a house with a phone to notify police of the crash, Gagne said. Arey was treated for his injuries prior to being charged with OUI.
