Dressing Down benefits the Waldo
Employees of The First recently raised $406.21 for The Waldo Theatre, located in downtown Waldoboro. First employees in all 15 branch locations collected the funds in exchange for the privilege of dressing casually on Fridays in August.
The Waldo Theatre is owned by a nonprofit organization, The Waldo Theatre, Inc., which depends on businesses and people working together to keep the theater operating. It offers an expanded range of entertainment from adult and youth theater to comedians and music concerts. For more information on the Waldo Theater, visit thewaldo.org.
Since 1995, employees of The First have been dressing casually on Fridays in support of charitable organizations throughout their market areas in Maine. Each participating employee contributes one dollar to the Casual for a Cause fund in exchange for the privilege of dressing casually. The First has been serving the financial needs of Maine people since 1864, with banking and investment management offices in 15 communities along the coast and in Bangor.
