Dream Local Digital team expands with the addition of Alyssa McCluskey
Rockland, Maine Alyssa McCluskey joins the Dream Local Digital team full time as a Researcher, Writer and Online Marketing Strategist. Raised in Hope, Maine, she graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School in 2008 and recently finished her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Maine at Orono. Alyssa has been part of the local community for a number of years: she was a member of the Pen Bay Sailfish Swim Team for twelve years, and works for the Penobscot Bay YMCA by helping to develop youth through swimming lessons. She was also a member of the UMaine community during her four years in Orono as a Resident Assistant. Her past community involvement gave Alyssa the skills to interact with people, a desire to get involved and see local businesses thrive. She is very excited to use her skills as a writer and with social media to support the community and fuel local business growth.
“Alyssa started with us in May and has already made a huge impact with her efforts,” said Dream Local Digital Founder and Client Success Officer Shannon Kinney, “and we are thrilled to have her join the team full time. She has a terrific ability to capture a client’s message in blog posts, press releases and marketing efforts”. While her skills and passion for writing have made her an excellent fit for the Dream Local Digital team, she is contributing in a variety of other ways on several client projects including research and social media strategy development.
“Working for Shannon and Dream Local Digital has been very interesting,” said Alyssa. “I am learning more and more about online marketing and social media every day, and there are very few dull moments! I am so glad that I was able to find a job that focuses on helping small, local businesses thrive, where I can utilize my skills as a writer, and where I have the opportunity to work with an amazing team.”
Also as part of its recent expansion, Dream Local Digital left its Thomaston office of three years and has moved to 385 Main Street Suite 8 in Rockland, behind the Thorndike Creamery and Sea Gull Cottage. “This is an exciting milestone in our business” said Kinney, “after opening offices in Bangor, Maine and Kenosha, Wisconsin this year, we now have a terrific headquarters to keep pace with our growing team and client base”.
