The specialty evolved from general and cardiac surgery. Among other conditions, vascular surgery addresses Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) ; Carotid Artery Disease; Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and spider and varicose veins.
A native of Framingham, Mass., White is a graduate of Colgate University and the Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Boston Medical Center. She comes to Pen Bay from Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Mass. She has been an assistant clinical professor in surgery at both Boston University School of Medicine and Tufts University Medical School.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and vascular surgery, White is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
