Doudera launches ‘Final Settlement’

Camden — Local author and realtor Vicki Doudera will launch the fourth in her Darby Farr mystery series, “Final Settlement,” Wednesday, April 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Graffam Brothers Harborside Restaurant, 16 Bayview Landing. Appetizers and cash bar will be available.

Publishers Weekly praised the fast-paced plot in Doudera’s latest Darby Farr mystery, citing its "credible characters and evocative descriptions of small-town Maine in winter." In “Final Settlement," realtor Darby Farr has returned to the island of Hurricane Harbor with mixed feelings and finds her latest investigation puts her own life in danger. ne icy February morning, a lobsterman finds the body of the police chief's assistant tangled in a lobster trap in the frigid waters off the island's lighthouse. Darby's visit home turns into a search for the secrets that are the motives for Lorraine Delvecchio's murder.

Doudera is a million dollar real estate broker with a busy coastal firm handling luxury real estate. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and was Realtor of the year in 2009. She serves as president of the Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, belongs to Mystery Writers of American and is on the board of Sisters in Crime, New England.
