Dodson and The Lowdown at Sail, Power and Steam
Rockland — The Sail, Power and Steam Museum at Sharp’s Point South will present a concert by David Dodson and The Lowdown Friday, June 13, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12; call 701-7627 for reservations.
Dodson of Camden is one of Maine’s favorite original songwriters, writing great songs that run the gamut of genres — folk, rock, blues, jazz and country — and range from poignant to hilarious. John and Rachel Nicholas’ songbook is full of extraordinary original music. Add them together and there is an embarrassment of riches … and with the rock-solid Michael Nickerson of Belfast on bass, all these songs come alive.
Sharp’s Point South is at 75 Mechanic St. For more information on the Sail, Power and Steam Museum and its programs, call; email firstname.lastname@example.org; or visit sharpspointsouth.com and click on Happenings.
