Dine at Cappy's Jan. 15, aid Peopleplace

Jan 10, 2014

Camden — Peopleplace is a community preschool program that encourages parents to be engaged in their children’s education and involved in their school.

Current research on early brain development underscores creating an environment that nurtures a child’s spirit, stimulates creativity, and links families and staff through respectful relationships. Children at Peopleplace learn to be independent thinkers, as well as to understand the importance of community and respect for each other — invaluable life skills.

This year the school is celebrating its 30th year of being a community preschool. Peopleplace’s goal is to raise $30,000 to fund scholarships, professional development for teachers, special programming for children and their families, and capital improvements to the building and grounds.

To assist Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool and their mission, Cappy’s Chowder House and Harbor View has arranged for Wednesday, Jan. 15 to be their Community Connections night. That evening, from 5 to 9 p.m., Cappy’s will donate up to half of food sales restaurant patrons spend on dinner to help Peopleplace reach their goals.
