Union — With nomination papers for municipal positions due May 1, four people have taken out forms to gather the necessary signatures to run for office.

Two seats are available on the Select Board, one with a two-year term and one for three years. Incumbents James Justice and Greg Grotton have taken out papers to renew their two- and three-year terms, respectively.

With two seats available on the Regional School Unit 40 Board of Directors, one for one year and one for three years, only the three-year seat has so far garnered interest, from Matthew Speno and incumbent Robert Williams.

Those interested in running for municipal seats can pick up nomination papers at the Union Town Office, 567 Common Road. Each nominee will need to collect at least 25 signatures, not more than 100, from registered voters and return their papers to the Town Office by Monday, May 1, at 4 p.m.

Elections for these positions will take place Tuesday, June 13, with the annual town meeting set for Monday, June 19, at the Town Office.
