Danielle N. Crudell
Rockland — Danielle Nichole Crudell, 28, passed away after a brief illness Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 22, 1985, in Londonderry, N.H., the daughter of Howard Crudell and Rhonda Crudell (Fowles). She grew up in Owls Head and Rockland where she attended local schools and also spent some time in Florida. While in school her vivacious personality was let out as a cheerleader, goalie for her soccer team and was a straight A student. Always a determined, strong-willed person, she was known as a spitfire. After high school she went to UMA Bangor for substance abuse counselor and was also taking classes toward a career in healthcare.
While attending classes she worked as a home health aide and had many clients that she cared about and truly enjoyed helping in and around the Rockland and Orono area. After starting her family she left the work force to concentrate on her children. A fantastic cook who learned most of her tricks in the kitchen from her Nan, corn chowder, chicken pie, Sheppard pie, and other down home cooking style dishes were her specialty.
She brought so much joy to her family’s life. She was always a jokester and enjoyed laughing and hanging out with her family. She was very meticulous in her appearance and always joked that “it hurts to be beautiful." She loved her children more than life itself and wanted to make sure that she did as much as she could to help them succeed. She enjoyed arts and crafts and could most often be found doing some type of project that she would later give away to a friend or a family member. Her smile was one that could fill a room with joy and it is that smile that will never be forgotten.
She was predeceased by her father Howard “Cappy” Crudell; grandparents Barbara and Don Crudell and Brenda Scaccia and Richard Fowles. Survivors include her children David Collins of Union, Kerrigan Nickels of Union, Keagen Crudell of Hampden, Annabella Crudell of Hampden, Dylan Clark of Brewer; Tyler Clark and Morgan Clark, who she raised as her own of Brewer; mother Rhonda Anderson of Hampden; sister Dimitra Crudell of Thomaston; brother Wade Anderson of Hampden; best friend Nicole Erickson of Rockland; and special friends from St. Andreas, Sharon, Andrea, Eileen.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Waldoboro, 1911 Atlantic Highway, Waldoboro.
